"I can tell you with great confidence that my crew and I have shut down many pubs in my region. I hope your casks are more plentiful than theirs."

~K’ractus Bethum, Lead Foreman of Jirum'tuk~

The Oratho are a proud and gallant people, their modern culture molded by the mighty hands of Thrum, the original Oratho King. Thrum's reign consisted of endless fighting. They fought monsters to carve out their home. They fought the Elves over mana-rich materials. At times, it seemed as though they fought the Elementals themselves. The Oratho lived under harsh conditions under Thrum's rule, but their unstoppable forward momentum enabled them to construct the wonders of the civilized world. Massive foundries, laboratories, and forges helped give the Oratho the military edge against the other kingdoms and fostered a fierce rivalry with the elves.

The Oratho's spirit of innovation has steered from war to industry—the forges to burn for the reconstruction of the nations of Aalam. The Oratho have exacted a heavy price during the war, ultimately gaining control over most of the world's economy through carefully crafted contracts governing the use of their mana-powered inventions. This created the two-party system of Doth and Luk'thum, Cart and Oxen. The Doth oversee finances, military tactics, innovation, diplomacy, ancient texts, and architecture. The Luk'thum are essentially working-class citizens and are tasked with the day-to-day manual labor of the Oratho nation. The two classes understand that they are intertwined, and one can not operate without the other. Everyone is of equal value to the forward momentum of the Oratho Kingdom.

It feels good to be back! I can not thank you enough for your endless support! Aalam is picking up steam! The editor is finished with the third book! A friend of mine has some information about manufacturing and conventions! And my artist sent me a concept picture of his latest creation! Everything is coming together! I hope everyone had a fantastic holiday! I love you like a cozy winter morning!

Take Care
